1. The service
Wise Atoms Tutoring is a directory and referral service operated by TalkDoc Inc. It helps students find independent tutors and send session requests, and helps tutors publish listings. Use of the directory is free for students; listings are free for tutors.
2. Independent providers
TalkDoc Inc. does not itself provide tutoring services. Sessions arranged through the directory are provided by independent tutors who set their own schedules, policies, and payment arrangements. Each tutor sets their own hourly rate, displayed on their profile, within ranges based on typical living wages in the country where the tutor lives; the platform retains a 20% platform fee from each session, and the remainder goes to the tutor. Any agreement for sessions is between you and the tutor.
3. Accuracy of listings
Tutors are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles. Listings show when the tutor last confirmed their details; availability can change, so always confirm with the tutor before your first session.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to submit false session requests or applications, scrape or bulk-download listings, or use the directory to harass tutors or students. We may remove listings or block access for misuse.
5. Disclaimers and liability
The directory is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, TalkDoc Inc. disclaims warranties of any kind and is not liable for the acts or omissions of tutors or the outcome of any sessions arranged through the directory.
6. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the directory after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
